Accounts Receivable

Module Options

Maintain Customer Information <See Screen Shot>
Create new customers, edit existing, or place a customer on credit hold in this option. You may view purchase information, past payments, and current outstanding balances for invoices, credits and prepaids on individual customers. The Button Bar functions of this screen allow for auto-dialing of displayed customer’s phone numbers, creation of word merge documents, and the printing of envelopes and mailing labels.  You may also open an Email form to send directly to the displayed customer.

Enter/Change Vouchers <See Screen Shot>
Enter invoices and credits for purchases directly into Accounts Receivable without creating a sales order or affecting inventory levels.  Vouchers may be created for non-inventory sales, or to create adjusting entries to a customer account.  You may edit any unposted voucher on this screen.  The option to post vouchers when entered or save them for batch posting at a later time is also included.

Post Vouchers
This option will post all saved and balanced vouchers entered in the
Enter/Change Vouchers option as described above.

Unpost Voucher
This option will unpost a previously posted voucher.  The system creates a reversing journal transaction in the General Ledger module and removes the voucher from the vendor record.

Record Payments <See Screen Shot>
This option is used to record payments and prepayments received from your customers.  You may record partial payments, payments on account, and apply outstanding credits.

Post Payments
This option will post all recorded payments as a batch.  The system defaults must be set in the System Administration module to enable this option.

Transfer Sales Tax to A/P <See Screen Shot>
This option creates an Accounts Payable voucher for sales taxes charged to customers when the
Order Entry module is used.  Transferred taxes are available for payment in the Accounts Payable module.

Apply Customer Credits
This option allows you to apply credit vouchers, overpayments, prepayments and miscellaneous checks created in the Check Register module, against specific outstanding balances on a customer.

Charge Interest
This option creates an invoice to customers with overdue balances.  Only those customers marked for interest charges are subject to this option.  Default interest rates are created in the
System Administration module.

Record Returned Check
This option reverses a payment record for a customer whose payment was returned to you by the bank.
